Membership Information:
Any women 21 years of age or older are welcome to join St Anthony's Women's Auxiliary. Annual dues are $5 for active members, and $10 for non-active members per year. Membership is not limited to St Anthony's Lodge membership. Any women can join! History:
The St. Anthony's Women's Auxiliary was formed in 1947, with the objective to "Maintain an organized center for intellectual, moral, and social development among its members and to extend the interests of St Anthony's Lodge." After 60 years of tradition, we are continuing a revitalization of the group that began in 2003.
Monthly Meetings:
St Anthony's Womens Auxiliary holds meetings from September to June on the 3rd Monday of each month. These meetings are held in the St Anthony's Lodge banquet hall at 7pm. Each meeting includes a secretary and treasurer report, new business for the club, refreshments, and a 50/50 ticket raffle.
Activities:
Some of our annual activities include making donations to an orphanage and the Lords Pantry on the holidays, holiday trip and party, lottery fundraiser, spring banquet, and the June picnic. A mass is held each year to celebrate Saint Anthony's Day with a dinner to follow at St Anthony's Lodge. During this celebration the Auxiliary gives a donation to the board members of St Anthony's Lodge and the church. The Auxiliary sells 50/50 raffle tickets each month during St. Anthony's Lodge Men's Night.
Sponsorships and Scholarships:
Since 2005, St. Anthony's Women's Auxiliary has sponsored a girls softball team, for Downingtown Little League. We also sponsor Teri's Run and the Michael Bartone Memorial Foundation Golf Outing. The Auxiliary issues a $250 book scholarship that is presented to a high school senior at Downingtown High School East, Downingtown High School West, and Bishop Shanahan.
